Our History and Vision
During the summer of 2007, Affordable Home Improvements was born based upon the vision: "people know you for what you have done, not for what you plan to do". We have worked for other home improvement companies that seemed to value the customers' opinions initially, but as the companies grew, things quickly turned south. With these other companies, we made initial contact with the customer and made a visit to the home to present a proposal, but seldom interacted with them afterward unless problems arose. This is where we felt the other companies came up short.
In the home improvement business, we recognize that issues during construction and installation do arise at one time or another, but how those issues are handled is ultimately quite fundamental to customer satisfaction. We have witnessed improper installation of products, jobs taking longer than expected, and customers that were upset when they did not receive a prompt response when they had valid concerns. It became clear to us that these companies were concerned about making sales, but gave little thought to the installation and follow-up process.
We agreed that we did not want to do business that way. We aim to build our business on what we have done, by building our customer base on referrals from satisfied customers. Some say first impressions are everything and we hope to provide you with a detailed proposal and answers to all of your questions at our first meeting. But we do not intend to stop there: we are committed to providing a professional service at an affordable price, with superior service before, during, and after the project.
